About Juan
Juan Garcia Mansilla is the Co-Founder and CEO of Unit 1, a company developing smart safety hardware for urban mobility. An industrial designer by trade from Argentina, Juan co-founded the company initially to create a smart helmet for skiing. After facing challenges during the pandemic, he led a successful pivot into the cycling and e-scooter market with their flagship product, the Faro smart helmet. Under his leadership, Unit 1 has raised a total of $6.6 million, including a $3.5 million Series A, and has successfully utilized platforms like Kickstarter to validate and launch new products.
